NMIS NETHERTON

The flagship facility of the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland at the heart of the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland next to Glasgow Airport.

The award-winning building, home to the NMIS Digital Factory, Manufacturing Skills Academy and Lightweight Manufacturing Centre will host registration, lunches, and the main conference plenary sessions.

ADVANCED FORMING RESEARCH CENTRE

The world-renowned centre of excellence in forming and forging R&D activity, and home to the world’s most advanced hot forging research and innovation platform, FutureForge, will host the conference on the afternoon of Tuesday 16th September.   

With over 55 members across the forming and forging communities, the AFRC leads the way in metallics manufacturing process innovation, material behaviour, and industrial applications R&D.

THE CORINTHIAN

The conference will open with an informal welcome reception in The Corinthian Club in Glasgow city centre on the evening of Monday 15th September.

CULTURAL VISIT

On the afternoon of Wednesday 17th September, the conference delegation will be visiting Glasgow Clydeside for not one, but two, guided cultural visits - the award winning Riverside Museum and Clydeside Distillery.

THE BARONY

The bicentenary hall in the University of Strathclyde’s splendid neo-gothic church building near to Glasgow Cathedral will host the conference dinner on Wednesday 17th September.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT

On the afternoon of Thursday 18th September, we will be visiting a local, notable, manufacturing business, which is synonymous with Glasgow's industrial heritage.
